A low district-wide average describes the monitored sample; it doesn't guarantee your own building or flat carries no risk — especially in older, densely built blocks around the Aberdeen typhoon shelter where drainage is ageing.

Not necessarily, but village houses deserve extra attention: older structures backing onto hillside and treeline sit in a higher-risk category. Swarmers indoors usually mean there's a mature colony nearby — handle it that evening (lights off, windows closed), then run a structural check the next day for mud tubes, hollow wood, wood powder, shed wings and bubbling wood surfaces.
